Winner of the 2023 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, Ben Platt stars in Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry’s musical Parade, about the trial of Leo Frank for the 1913 murder of Mary Phagan. Caiola Productions is a co-producer of this important and timely musical about anti-Semitism based on the true story of a miscarriage of justice that destroyed innocent lives in the post-Civil War American South.

The Piano Lesson

Starring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and Danielle Brooks, The Piano Lesson returned to Broadway in 2022, co-produced by Caiola Productions.  The August Wilson masterpiece was given fresh urgency in this landmark revival directed by Latanya Richardson Jackson.

A Beautiful Noise

The story of legendary songwriter and performer Neil Diamond comes to thrilling life on the Broadway stage in A Beautiful Noise.  Caiola Productions is a co-producer of this uplifting new musical featuring all of Diamond’s hit songs, including “Sweet Caroline,” “America,” and “Cracklin’ Rosie.”

Company

Following its triumphant London engagement, the Olivier Award-winning revival of the 1970 Sondheim musical Company arrived on Broadway in December 2021, co-produced by Caiola Productions. Mr. Saturday Night

Billy Crystal’s 1992 film arrived on the Broadway musical stage in 2022, co-produced by Caiola Productions, where it earned five 2022 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical and Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Mr. Crystal) as well as three 2022 Drama Desk nominations.

For Colored Girls…

In 2022, the groundbreaking theatrical choreopoem For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf written by the late Ntozake Shange returned triumphantly to Broadway. The revival was co-produced by Caiola Productions and earned seven 2022 Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Play, Best Director, and Best Choreographer, as well as two 2022 Drama Desk nominations including Outstanding Revival of a Play.

Caroline, or Change

Following its triumphant London engagement, Caiola Productions co-produced the first Broadway revival of Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori’s musical Caroline, or Change, nominated for three 2022 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Leading Actress in a Musical (Sharon D. Clarke).

American Buffalo

In Spring 2022, David Mamet’s landmark play American Buffalo returned to Broadway in a new revival co-produced by Caiola Productions, starring Laurence J. Fishburne as “Donny,” Sam Rockwell as “Teach,” and Darren Criss as “Bobby.”  It earned four 2022 Tony Award nominations including Best Revival of a Play and Best Leading Actor in a Play (Mr. Rockwell).”
