Following its triumphant London engagement, the Olivier Award-winning revival of the 1970 Sondheim musical Company arrived on Broadway in December 2021, co-produced by Caiola Productions. The production, notable for its gender-switched “Bobby” (newly “Bobbie,” played by Katrina Lenk) and “Amy” (newly “Jamie”), was directed by Marianne Elliott and also featured Patti LuPone as “Joanne.” The production earned eight 2022 Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical, and seven 2022 Drama Desk nominations, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and it won the 2022 Drama League Awards for Best Revival of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical.
