Terrence McNally’s It’s Only A Play returned to Broadway during the 2014-15 season, with an all-star cast including Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, directed by Jack O’Brien.  Caiola Productions co-produced this classic show biz comedy, newly revised and updated by its multi-Tony Award winning author, which was a box office smash.

You Can’t Take It With You

Caiola Productions was a co-producer of the acclaimed 2014-15 Broadway revival of the classic Pulitzer Prize winning comedy You Can’t Take It With You, one of the most popular and delightful American plays ever written. James Earl Jones led the cast as “Grandpa Vanderhof,” and the director was 6-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis. The production was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Play.

Nevermore

Bridges of Madison County

The Bridges of Madison County

During the 2013-14 season, Caiola Productions was a co-producer of The Bridges of Madison County, a musical based on the 1992 bestselling novel by Robert James Waller and its 1995 film adaptation starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood.  The musical was written by Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown, who earned 2014 Tony® and Drama Desk Awards for his luscious score. The Broadway cast starred Kelli O’Hara (Tony and Drama Desk nominee for her role) and Steven Pasquale.

Glengarry Glen Ross

Led by Al Pacino, the 2012-13 Broadway season’s all-star revival of Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet was directed by Daniel Sullivan and co-produced by Luigi Caiola and Rose Caiola.  This landmark production of the Pulitzer Prize winning drama grossed an average of more than $1,000,000 per 7-performance week during its strictly limited engagement, making it one of the most financially successful Broadway plays of all time.

The Heiress

Starring Jessica Chastain, David Strathairn, and Dan Stevens (Matthew Crawley on Downton Abbey), this handsome revival of the classic play The Heiress based on Henry James’s novella Washington Square was co-produced on Broadway during the 2012-13 season by Luigi Caiola and Rose Caiola. Moisés Kaufman directed this wrenching love story about a wealthy young woman whose clashes with her domineering father and romantic encounter with a fortune hunter teach her to appreciate her own true worth, but at a terrible cost.

The Anarchist

In fall 2012, Luigi Caiola and Rose Caiola co-produced the Broadway premiere of David Mamet’s thought-provoking meditation on crime and punishment, The Anarchist, which starred Patti LuPone as a convicted domestic terrorist and Debra Winger as her jailer, and was directed by Mr. Mamet.

Godspell

Luigi Caiola and Rose Caiola made their Broadway producing debuts in 2011 with a historic revival of Godspell, the iconic musical retelling of New Testament stories with a book written by John-Michael Tebelak and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the composer and lyricist of the worldwide blockbuster musical Wicked.
